Get answers to common questions about Male Brazilian Wax.
Trim hair to roughly a quarter-inch if excessively long, avoid shaving for at least two weeks, arrive clean, and skip heavy lotions or recent sun exposure. Inform your esthetician about medications or skin sensitivities beforehand.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on sensitive skin, but our experienced technicians use fast technique and calming products to minimize pain. Topical numbing or breath techniques can be discussed to increase comfort.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and individual biology. Regular waxing slows regrowth and often yields finer, sparser hair over time.
Temporary redness, mild swelling, or small bumps are common and usually resolve within a day or two. Proper aftercare reduces ingrown hairs and irritation; severe reactions are rare but should be reported immediately.
Certain medications, like blood thinners or topical retinoids, increase sensitivity and risk. Disclose all medications and recent treatments; we may recommend delaying service or performing a patch test for safety.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, and tight clothing for 24-48 hours. Use soothing gel or recommended products, exfoliate gently after 48-72 hours, and keep the area clean to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.
